The Daily Life
The Daily Life follows a simple but sure way to live out the vocation that we have given ourselves to.
The Schedule Outside of Office
5:00AM Rise for early reading, praying the office of Prime, silence, lectio divina and meditation
5:30-9:00 Space for breakfast, praying the office of Terce, and personal time
10:00-11:50AM First period of study and reading (Prima Schola), otherwise work
1:00PM Communal lunch
1:30-5:00PM Work, praying the office of None, second period of study (Secunda Schola), rest
6:00-7:00PM Supper, rest, reading, recreation
The Sunday Liturgy
Due to the somewhat transient nature of our current accommodations, the schedule, work, and forms of service sometimes change. We are currently stationed at a parish church, thus during the week, and on Sundays, there are opportunities to assist in the Mass, choir, catechism class, etc. Currently, one brother is assisting at all of the week-day masses and occasionally assists singing for the Sunday Mass. He additionally instructs a catechism class which recently saw four confirmations.
Regardless, Mattins is prayed in the chapel at 10:00AM with Mass following at 10:30AM. The other Offices are prayed privately in the cell.
